Neat's Business Systems team runs the systems behind how the company sells, bills, and supports its customers — Salesforce, NetSuite, Celigo, and the integrations tying them together — for about 400 people across the business. Operating as a lean team, we manage live production support in parallel with our strategic technology roadmap, without a separate operations layer.
We are transforming our development model to focus on building custom, user-centric solutions—and seeking candidates who thrive in creating innovative, high-impact software. As an early member of this evolving model, you will directly influence our technical architecture, development operations, and long-term engineering strategy.
We're looking for a Business Systems Manager to own the intent layer of our systems roadmap and help stand up the infrastructure that lets us build fast without breaking things — turning ambiguous business asks into structured, buildable specs, and partnering with our Business Systems Software Engineer and platform admins on the DevOps, data quality, and context work behind every release. You'll be a core part of modernizing Neat's quoting, dynamic pricing, and subscription management systems.
Own the business systems intake process, triaging requests from cross-functional stakeholders (Sales Ops, Finance, Channel, Product, Marketing) into a structured, prioritized backlog.
Lead agile delivery — sprint planning, backlog grooming, and UAT — translating operational asks into user stories with clear, testable acceptance criteria.
Partner with the Business Systems Software Engineer to stand up the infrastructure and DevOps practices — environments, deployment pipelines, testing and rollback — that let a small team ship fast without breaking production.
Own data quality across our core systems: audit, clean, and put ongoing checks in place so bad data doesn't undermine automation, reporting, or customer-facing systems.
Build and maintain the context libraries that keep the knowledge our engineering work builds from accurate and current.
Work day-to-day with the broader Business Systems team — our Salesforce and NetSuite/Celigo admins — to route requests to the right owner, diagnose root cause when data integrity breaks, and confirm specs are grounded in what the platforms can actually do.
Translate business asks into specs precise enough that the Business Systems Software Engineer can execute without renegotiating scope mid-build, and sanity-check architecture and data-flow decisions rather than rubber-stamp them.
Balance shipping a fast MVP against the long-term roadmap — know when a manual workaround is fine for now and when it isn't.
5+ years in business systems analysis, product management, or revenue operations, with deep hands-on experience in Salesforce and NetSuite.
Experience setting up or maturing DevOps practices — environments, CI/CD, release management — in a small or resource-constrained team.
Comfortable owning data quality: auditing, cleaning, and building the checks that keep it that way.
Platform fluency deep enough to tell a five-minute config fix from a real re-architecture, and to write specs the Business Systems Software Engineer can build from without back-and-forth.
Track record turning ambiguous business problems into structured, prioritized backlogs with clear acceptance criteria, and leading agile delivery end to end, including UAT.
Real, hands-on experience shipping production work with AI development tools — not someone who's only experimented with them.
Working knowledge of subscription/entitlement mechanics — proration, true-forward reconciliation, co-terming — enough to spec requirements and sanity-check engineering work.
Comfortable coordinating and building trust across a small cross-functional team — admins, the software developers, and business leadership — including navigating hard conversations when needed.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience in technical product environments.
