We are looking for an Application Support & Automation Engineer to join an international team responsible for supporting and operating critical banking applications. We are seeking a professional with experience in Application Support (L1/L2), strong troubleshooting skills, and solid knowledge of automation, cloud technologies, and infrastructure, who can contribute to the stability, efficiency, and continuous improvement of services.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Provide application support for critical solutions within a banking environment.
  • Manage and resolve incidents, service requests, and operational support activities.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and shift-based support activities.
  • Monitor application performance, availability, and stability.
  • Participate in Disaster Recovery (DR) activities and business continuity tests.
  • Develop and maintain Ansible playbooks and Terraform scripts for provisioning, configuration, and deployment automation.
  • Contribute to technology modernization initiatives, including the containerization of legacy applications.
  • Administer and support environments based on Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Support and train other team members on automation and infrastructure-related topics.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and operational process optimization.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in IT Operations, Application Support, or Software Engineering.
  • Experience in L1/L2 Application Support, preferably within banking or financial services environments.
  • Strong knowledge of Linux and command-line administration (CLI).
  • Hands-on experience with Ansible and Terraform for infrastructure automation.
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of PL/SQL and database troubleshooting.
  • Experience with monitoring and observability tools, ideally Dynatrace.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or similar platforms.
  • Scripting experience using Python and/or Bash.
  • Experience working with Cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, IBM Cloud, or Google Cloud.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in IT Operations or Software Engineering
  • Minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience with a cloud provider (IBM Cloud, AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience with Ansible and Docker
