We are looking for a skilled Network Engineer with deep expertise in Cisco technologies and enterprise network security. The ideal candidate will lead the implementation, configuration, and support of network infrastructures across wired, wireless, cloud, and hybrid environments.

📍 Location: Hybrid – 2 days/week on-site in Braga, Portugal


🔧 Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Manage, configure and support Cisco-based networks: Catalyst switches, WLC, ISE, Meraki cloud, Catalyst Center;
  • Configure and support secure Cisco Wi-Fi deployments and remote access solutions (SSL/IPSec VPN);
  • Manage and troubleshoot firewalls: Cisco ASA/Firepower, Checkpoint, Fortinet, Palo Alto;
  • Implement and maintain SASE solutions (Fortinet/Palo Alto) and enforce security best practices;
  • Collaborate on network projects and documentation;
  • Integrate and manage Microsoft Azure networking components, including VPN gateways, firewalls, and hybrid connectivity;
  • Participate in weekly on-duty/on-call rotations to ensure 24/7 network reliability and incident response;
  • Develop and maintain network automation scripts using Python for configuration, monitoring, and reporting;
  • Required Skills•Strong command of Cisco technologies (routing, switching, Wi-Fi) and Meraki cloud platforms;
  • Experience with Cisco network access control (ISE), Catalyst Center, and wireless controllers;
  • Proficiency in firewall configuration and support;
  • Solid understanding of SASE, Zero Trust, and general security concepts;
  • Familiarity with remote access protocols and VPN technologies;
  • Hands-on experience with Azure networking;
  • Willingness to support weekly on-duty shifts;
  • Experience with Python scripting and ansible for network automation;
  • Fluency in English is required;
  • Preferred Certifications: Cisco CCNA, CCNP, Fortinet NSE, or Palo Alto PCNSE.
  • Solid understanding of IP networking and security protocols;
  • CCNA certification (minimum requirement);
  • 5+ years of experience in networking and security roles;
  • Professional English proficiency (spoken and written).
