Not for symptoms to get worse. Not for a six‑month appointment. Not for a system to catch up. But that’s exactly how healthcare works today. You wait, until you can’t.
Alan exists to end the wait.
Health is a universal right, and we believe this right can only become real when it’s coupled with prevention. We need to stop treating health as something we repair and start treating it as something we build, every day. It’s not solely a question of willpower. It’s the healthcare system itself that needs to work for everyone, in a sustainable way.
So we are building the new standard in prevention insurance. Alan is the first company that integrates insurance, prevention, and care into a single, acclaimed user experience.
We are on an incredible journey to build a global leading company, with a unique culture. We already partner with 40K+ companies of all sizes, serving more than 1M+ members, and have reached €800M+ in ARR.
Prevention as the new norm. That's what we're building with our team of 800+ people. If it speaks to you: we're hiring across France, Spain, Belgium, and Canada. And beyond.
Alan is scaling internationally (900+ employees, 100+ healthcare professionals, 5+ countries) and needs IT Operations Specialists to own device security, SaaS platforms, identity & access, and the daily IT experience of every Alaner, while contributing to build projects that remove operational toil.
IT at Alan is more than just a helpdesk. Operations and support ('Run') take roughly 60% of your time initially, while the rest goes toward owning project-based initiatives ('Build') tailored to your experience level.
As you ramp up alongside senior engineers, your focus will naturally shift toward more build-focused work with wider impact.
The scope below is what the team owns, not a checklist for one person. We staff people according to their strengths and interests, and it evolves over time.
Own L1/L2 oncall for 900+ Alaners across 5+ countries, with a clear escalation path to engineers
Triage, communicate to users during incidents, and escalate appropriately
Document recurring issues and reduce ticket volume through self-service
Own the full device lifecycle: procurement, zero-touch enrollment (Apple Business Manager, Kandji), repair, retrieval
Maintain role-based Kandji blueprints and least-privilege configurations
Contribute to device compliance across all countries (MDM, EDR, FileVault) and to audit evidence
Own the physical side: laptop locker, hardware inventory, office equipment
Take over day-to-day device operations as we bring them back in-house from our outsourced provider
Own onboarding and offboarding end-to-end, across both automated and manually-managed tools
Administer Google Workspace, SSO/SAML, licences and access reviews
Manage day-to-day vendor relationships and procurement on your scope
Own a build project end-to-end, with a more experienced engineer to pair with and learn from
Examples from the current roadmap: rebuilding the onboarding intake, the meeting room audiovisual equipment and room-booking revamp, the IT playbook for new offices, ISO 27001 / ACPR evidence collection
Ship automation and self-service tooling that measurably reduces IT toil
First 2 months
Join IT oncall rotation (helpdesk) with buddy/shadowing support
Discover Alan's processes, stack (Kandji, Apple Business Manager), SaaS ecosystem, and identity tools (Google Workspace, SSO, Alan Home)
Handle most typical IT operations issues autonomously (equipment, SaaS access, account provisioning)
First 6 months
Handle IT oncall shifts autonomously, solving most problems that do not require engineer input
Own onboarding/offboarding workflows end-to-end
Have wide knowledge of Alan's processes, equipment, and tools
Ship a first project
First year
Be regarded as an expert on at least one topic beyond the oncall rotation (e.g. MDM, SaaS admin, compliance documentation)
Contribute on device compliance improvements (MDM, EDR, FileVault) across all countries
Ship automation or self-service projects that measurably reduce IT toil, with limited guidance
Lead small to medium IT projects end-to-end
3 years
Fully autonomous on the User Experience & Platform workstreams
Lead medium to high-complexity IT projects end-to-end
Mentor newer team members, reduce bus factor through documentation, automation and knowledge sharing
Must-have - Technical/hard skills:
1-3 years in IT operations (or strong internship / student association background in a tech environment): device management (MDM, ideally Kandji), SaaS administration, basic identity & access management (Google Workspace, SSO)
Operational reflexes: can triage issues, communicate to users during incidents, and escalate appropriately. Has oncall or production support experience
Automation & AI appetite: scripting basics (Python, Bash) or low-code, and an instinct for what should be automated or delegated to AI rather than repeated
Documentation mindset: writes clear, structured documentation
Learning velocity: Picks up new tools and processes quickly.
Must-have - Behavioral / soft skills:
Written-First Communication: Clear, effective written communicator who instinctively documents workflows, shares knowledge transparently, and thrives in an asynchronous work culture.
Empathetic Problem-Solving: Balanced user-first service mindset with operational pragmatism—delighting colleagues while diagnosing root causes rather than applying band-aid fixes.
Autonomous Growth: Self-directed problem solver who takes early project ownership, learns rapidly alongside senior engineers, and actively seeks feedback to level up.
Nice-to-have skills / Bonus points if you have:
macOS fluency: comfortable troubleshooting macOS, understands the Apple ecosystem (Apple Business Manager, DEP enrollment)
Experience with Kandji specifically
Exposure to security compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, SOC 2, HDS), even just awareness
SaaS vendor management and/or license administration
Interest in automation and coding (even from college/school projects)
Experience in a fast-growing, multi-country tech company
Languages: Fluent French & Professional English
Location: You must be legally eligible to work from France.
