As a Business Support Associate within the Finance team, you will be responsible for supporting some of the day-to-day functions of Finance as follows:
Reviewing and approving employee expense claims in line with the Kainos Expenses Policy.
Supporting the accounts payable team in handling separate entities and vendors and resolving supplier queries.
Assisting with processing due invoices for payments.
Comparing purchase orders, prices, terms of payment and other charges.
Preparing bank account reconciliations.
Assisting in processing customer invoice payments and supportingthe credit control team.
Helping the team post customer payments to accounts.
Supporting the finance team with other tasks when necessary.
This role will be accountable for delivering high quality work in a timely fashion in line with company policies, processesand guidelines with limited supervision.
You will be working as part of a team to effectively deliver support for the core business.
MINIMUM (ESSENTIAL) REQUIREMENTS:
Strong attention to detail and ability to carry out responsibilities in accordance with company policies, processes and guidelines.
Strong interpersonal skills, with the confidence to engage effectively with employees at all levels.
Effective personal time management and planning skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and targets.
Ability to work efficiently, make sensible decisions and prioritise your workload in a fast-paced environment.
Effective verbal and written communication skills with both staff and external stakeholders.
Strong teamworking skills, including the ability to take direction from others.
Experience with Office 365 Suite or equivalent.
DESIRABLE:
Ability to collaborate effectively within a multi-disciplined team.
Ability to identify and communicate areas for improvement within the team and business.
Experience with JIRA, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint or Workday.
Experience in a finance or accounting environment.
