Overview

Reporting directly to the Head of Paid Media, you will be a member of a focussed, specialist team driving best-in-class paid media performance across various Access Software Companies. Alongside specific divisional responsibilities you will be providing support and expertise to your own direct reports, constantly looking to develop both our paid media offering and the output of your team.

With direct line-management responsibility of paid leads in your business areas, you will be a subject matter expert on all things paid media. You will be working collaboratively with the wider Paid Media & Digital Teams to support across a number of business areas to drive results. You will also be an integral part of enhancing the paid strategy and practices at Access with a solution-oriented mindset, strong leadership skills and the ability to influence decision making.

You’ll be comfortable managing multiple stakeholders to champion paid media and be able to establish forward-thinking strategy and plans in line with commercial targets.

 Leadership & Management

• Work as part of the Leadership cohort within the Paid Media Team to support paid media performance, efficiency and storytelling across the business
• Line manage Paid Media Leads within your specific business area and drive to develop a high performing team, with clear expectations set on objectives, ESPs and Path to Great
• Support the wider Digital team and lead the work to establish Paid Media as a consistent ROAS/ROI source for Marketing & Sales Qualified Leads from Digital channels
• Be a champion for Paid Media with senior stakeholders across the business in order to win trust and confidence, highlighting best practice, key opportunities and areas for development without prejudice
• Confidently challenge ways of working to improve efficiency, return on investment and upskill on paid media channels and effectiveness
• Set and manage expectations so deliverables & deadlines are met

Digital Acquisition and Conversion Optimisation

• Create top-level strategies for paid media channels to deliver on key metrics against forecast across the Access group in line with commercial targets
• Ensure robust measurement in place to track effectiveness & ROAS and contribute to reporting and commentary for senior stakeholders
• Consistently drive test and learn activity within both new and established channels to help improve conversion rates and ensure all lead generation opportunities are explored
• Solid understanding of the financial impact of paid media activities, reporting on performance with a view on ROAS for your respective divisions
• Collaboration with the wider paid media team and your own direct reports to gain buy-in for new strategies and opportunities

Service Delivery

• Be at the forefront of PPC, LinkedIn, ABM and other paid advertising channels by keeping up to date with industry news, new platforms and technologies. Assist in campaign delivery as needed
• Engage and support your direct reports to contribute to overall targets with strong line management, people development and communication
• Clear communication within your division/squad/team on performance vs commercial targets (pipeline, ROAS etc)
• Coordinate with Divisions so campaigns have Paid Media which points to top performing pages and web content which drives prospects & leads down the funnel
• Prepare and attend monthly performance meetings to review KPIs. Lead and build QBRs, campaign reviews with the agency and internal teams – Digital, Data/BI & Marketo
• Align strategy & ensure Divisions’ needs are met with Digital, Data/BI & Marketo teams
• Develop effective ideas and process improvements for your clients – Divisions’ HoMs
• Be a trusted source of information and advances in Search marketing, and Social advertising - LinkedIn, YouTube, Twitter – so we drive Leads in a fast paced, agile B2B SaaS environment
• Strong organisational and communication skills are critical to this role, so information flows to ensure Stakeholders are aware of status, results and plans. You must be able to bring together different teams and make successful business cases to senior stakeholders
• Proven visible experience managing Paid Media plans to deliver revenue and understand Buyer Journey across Website, Content & multiple Channels
• Is strategic and hands on - able to develop strategy/tactics AND drive agency’s execution. Part of your day is to review different channels results, and suggest tactical structural changes to improve Leads captured and better integrate Content & Paid Media
• Numbers driven - sets clear goals tied to revenue. Reports on results weekly, monthly & YTD
• Ability to measure/maximise plans using latest technology, digital dashboards & software
• Proactive, flexible team player who can work under pressure on their own to achieve results
• Excellent communication skills and demonstrates confidence, creativity and professionalism

Metrics that Matter

• 3 Core KPIs: Business/Sales Qualified Leads, Pipeline and ROAS
• Quality of Traffic (segmentation insights) and Conversions by channel
• Paid Media contributing to improved Avg. Session Duration, Pages per Session, Bounce rates
• Returning Visits (Time Lag) and Time to Conversion (Days)
• Peakon scores for team engagement

Qualifications

• Demonstrates a passion for Digital and experience across multiple Channels is a must!
• Ability to successfully lead a team of subject matter experts
• Commercial awareness, Analytical mind + Eye for detail – ALL THREE required!!
• Ability to see through the Customers’ eyes and articulate via real insight and data, where improvements are needed to achieve a 1st class Website/Content/Buyer Journey experience
• Proven 3+ years’ experience in Paid Media hands-on management roles
• Proven experience AND success executing multi-channel digital marketing plans
