This role sits within Intuit's Consumer Group, home to Credit Karma and TurboTax; two of the brands consumers trust most with their financial lives. Credit Karma champions financial progress for more than 130 million members globally, and TurboTax helps tens of millions of people file with confidence each year. Together, they give this role an unmatched canvas to build the recommendation technology that personalizes consumers' experiences across their entire financial journey.
As a Senior Staff Product Manager on the Personalization team within Intuit's Consumer Group, you will own the recommendation platforms that decide what we show each member, where, and when. You'll set a unified vision across our real-time (online) and batch (offline) recommendation systems; the platforms that power everything from the offers, content, and stories members see in the app to the personalized notifications we send across email, push, and emerging channels.
This is one of the most critical technical product roles in the organization. These platforms already power the entirety of Credit Karma's personalized content across all surfaces and channels and have delivered step-change improvements in efficiency, cost, throughput, and revenue unlock; and they're now at an inflection point. You'll guide them through a generational architecture shift, build the reusable capabilities that unlock our most important AI and personalization programs, and extend them across all of Intuit's Consumer Group brands. You'll operate at the intersection of product, engineering, and data science, making deep technical tradeoffs and turning platform decisions into measurable business impact.
Responsibilities
Own the recommendation platforms (online and offline/batch) vision. Set the long-term, unified strategy and roadmap across Credit Karma's and TurboTax’s online (real-time) and offline (batch) recommendation platforms; the systems that determine what to show each member, where, and when, across the app and our messaging channels.
Power real-time personalization at scale. Own the real-time recommendation and ranking platform that personalizes in-product experiences; orchestrating eligibility, business rules, model scoring, and ranking to serve the right offers, content, and stories in the moment.
Own the offline recommendation platforms. Drive the platform that generates personalized recommendations in batch to power notifications and other channels at scale, continuing to push step-change gains in efficiency, cost, and throughput.
Unify online and offline. Bring our online and offline platforms onto a shared roadmap so cross-channel learnings compound; the same models and signals improving both the in-app experience and our messaging.
Build reusable platform capabilities. Shift the platform from one-off integrations toward reusable, self-serve primitives that let data science and product teams ship faster, and prioritize the foundational capabilities that unlock our highest-impact programs.
Drive platform modernization and adoption. Lead the migration of surfaces onto our next-generation recommendation architecture, and partner with engineering to scale model serving and inference, decompose legacy components, and reduce technical debt; sequencing the work to balance technical evolution with business impact.
Extend across Consumer Group brands. Partner with platform and brand teams to evolve our recommendation systems into capabilities other Intuit Consumer Group brands, such as TurboTax, can adopt, advancing a unified cross-brand personalization vision.
Own delivery and partnership end-to-end. Translate complex, ambiguous needs into clear requirements, decision documents, and roadmaps for engineering, data science, and leadership; own strategy through execution and measurement, and partner closely with engineering, data science, verticals, and marketing from concept to launch.
Qualifications
8+ years of product management experience, with a strong track record owning technical platform or infrastructure products in a cross-functional setting
Deep technical fluency; comfortable with APIs, distributed and real-time systems, and the architecture of ML platforms, and able to engage engineers and data scientists as a credible technical partner who makes sound architecture tradeoffs
Experience with recommendation systems, ranking, personalization, or machine learning platforms (such as model serving and inference, feature stores, or experimentation) is strongly preferred
Proven ability to ship platform capabilities at scale across multiple teams, balancing long-term technical investment against near-term business outcomes
A bias toward reusable platform thinking over one-off solutions; you build primitives, not band-aids
Experience partnering closely with data science and ML teams to take models from concept to production
Track record of translating complex problems into clear narratives, decision documents, and roadmaps, and driving alignment across senior stakeholders
Excellent written and verbal communication; able to craft strategic narratives for executives and technical specs for engineers alike
Outcomes-motivated, comfortable with ambiguity and rapidly changing priorities, and energized by large-scale, high-complexity problems
