Director, Marketing – Pharmacy & Health Technology Segment

OVERVIEW

The Director, Marketing for Pharmacy & Health Technology (PHT) provides strategic and operational leadership for marketing across the PHT portfolio, including Medi-Span, Health Language, Clinical Surveillance Solutions, and future growth initiatives.

This role serves as the senior marketing leader for the PHT segment and a key member of the PHT Leadership Team. The Director is responsible for translating business strategy into integrated go-to-market plans that drive market growth, customer engagement, pipeline creation, revenue contribution, customer retention, and expansion opportunities.

Reporting to the VP & General Manager, PHT, this leader partners closely with Sales, Product Management, Product Marketing, Customer Success, Revenue Operations, and Corporate Marketing to identify growth opportunities, prioritize investments, and execute commercial programs that deliver measurable business results.

The Director serves as a strategic advisor to segment leadership, bringing customer, market, and competitive insights into business planning while ensuring strong marketing execution across the portfolio.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Business & Go-to-Market Leadership

  • Serve as a member of the PHT Leadership Team, helping shape growth priorities, commercial strategy, annual operating plans, and investment decisions.

  • Translate business objectives into integrated go-to-market plans across the PHT portfolio.

  • Develop and lead the annual and quarterly PHT marketing planning process aligned with segment revenue goals, sales priorities, and pipeline targets.

  • Partner with Product, Product Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success leaders to drive customer acquisition, retention, cross-sell, and expansion opportunities.

Revenue & Commercial Performance

  • Own Marketing’s contribution to pipeline generation, opportunity creation, and revenue growth.

  • Partner with Sales and Revenue Operations to improve targeting, lead management, funnel performance, and commercial effectiveness.

  • Establish KPIs, monitor performance, communicate results, and implement corrective actions as needed to achieve business objectives.

Market Strategy & Execution

  • Develop a deep understanding of customer needs, buying behaviors, market dynamics, and competitive trends across pharmacy, provider, payer, PBM, life sciences, and digital health markets.

  • Bring customer, market, and competitive insights into PHT Leadership Team discussions to help inform strategic decision-making, growth priorities, and investment decisions.

  • Partner with Product Marketing to strengthen positioning, messaging, value propositions, and market differentiation.

  • Lead strategy and execution requirements for demand generation, account-based marketing, customer marketing, digital campaigns, webinars, events, thought leadership, and other growth initiatives.

  • Develop event strategies to support pipeline generation and reputation impact

Leadership & Resource Management

  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing marketing team aligned to PHT business priorities.

  • Build strong cross-functional relationships and represent Marketing in leadership discussions across the organization.

  • Manage marketing budgets, agencies, vendors, and resources to maximize business impact.

  • Drive simplification, operational excellence, and continuous improvement across marketing processes and workflows.

Required Experience

  • 10-12+ years of progressive B2B marketing experience, including leadership responsibility within healthcare technology, healthcare information, SaaS, data, analytics, clinical workflow, or related markets.

  • Proven success developing and executing go-to-market strategies that drive pipeline growth, revenue contribution, customer retention, and market expansion.

  • Demonstrated ability to partner with Sales leadership and influence business strategy.

  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives involving Product, Sales, Customer Success, and Marketing teams.

  • Proven experience managing and developing high-performing marketing professionals.

Skills & Capabilities

  • Strong commercial mindset with the ability to connect marketing investments to business outcomes.

  • Strategic thinker capable of translating market opportunities into actionable growth plans.

  • Strong understanding of demand generation, account-based marketing, customer marketing, digital marketing, sales enablement, and go-to-market execution.

  • Excellent executive communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills.

  • Strong analytical and financial acumen with experience using data to drive decision-making.

  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with operational execution in a matrixed organization.

EDUCATION

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field required. Advanced degree preferred.

Compensation:

$137,900.00 - $246,350.00 USDThis role is eligible for Bonus.

Compensation range listed is based on primary location of the position.  Actual base salary offer is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skills, experience and actual hiring location. Your recruiter can share more information about the specific offer for the job location during the hiring process.
