Description

Intuit's Fintech team is improving the experiences that reduce churn, increase self-service and automation, and shape how customers navigate risk decisions.
You will be responsible for the strategy and execution for Risk-related journeys, including customer communications, the early-tenure customer journey, the accountant experience, and customer case resolution flows. You'll help design a coherent experience across multiple teams and services and connect the customer-facing work with the agent-facing side of Risk through close collaboration with design partners.

At Intuit, we're intentionally building AI into how we design, prototype, and ship — and we're committed to equipping our teams to work at the forefront of it. We look for designers who are excited to bring AI into their workflow — using it to move faster, explore further, and save their energy for the decisions that only human judgment and creativity can make. We're looking for designers who are curious, eager to experiment, and excited to continually evolve how they work.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end design for customer-facing Risk initiatives, from discovery through launch.
  • Own the strategy for a unified customer engagement and communications framework.
  • Design experiences that make AI-powered features intuitive, transparent, and trustworthy for a diverse range of users

  • Design for multiple personas: owners, accountants, and mid-market customers.
  • Use customer research and product data to inform design decisions and set clear success criteria.
  • Partner with product management, engineering, data, and research to frame problems, define success, and drive decisions.
  • Drive coherence across journeys by identifying pattern opportunities and aligning with Intuit's design system, keeping experiences cohesive.
  • Strengthen how the team works through better planning inputs, critique quality, documentation, and shared standards.
  • Mentor other designers through feedback, pairing, and craft leadership within projects.

Qualifications

What you'll bring to the table

  • Design craft and end-to-end execution: You lead product design work from discovery through launch, producing strong interaction design, clear flows, and high-fidelity UI with a thoughtful point of view on quality, usability, and customer trust.
  • Platform mindset and systems thinking: You design across surfaces and journeys, hold multiple personas in mind, and identify patterns that scale. You build trust-based partnerships with product teams, align early on goals and decision-making, and co-create solutions teams can adopt with minimal friction.
  • Evidence-driven decision making: You define success criteria and use research and product data as practical tools, not decoration. You spot when evidence is missing and help drive the right research or measurement plan.
  • Cross-functional partnership and judgment: You work closely with product and engineering to understand constraints and tradeoffs, advocate for quality from concept through implementation, and make thoughtful decisions across customer needs, business goals, and compliance considerations.
  • Storytelling and communication: You communicate clearly with both partners and executive stakeholders, and you bring people along rather than working in a vacuum.

Experience and expertise

  • 8+ years of product design experience with a portfolio showing end-to-end ownership and shipped impact.
  • Strong interaction design and prototyping skills, with the ability to communicate design rationale and tradeoffs.
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools into your design workflow to improve quality, speed, or exploration

  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and drive alignment through ambiguity.
  • Comfort working with data and using it to inform design strategy and decisions.

Nice to have

  • Fintech, banking, or risk domain experience.
  • Experience with policy explainability, compliance-heavy design, or customer communication frameworks.
  • Familiarity with mature design systems.
